- I am a lifelong resident of Chesapeake, VA. We have a population of approximately 219,000 with a median resident age of 34.7 years. Located on the VA-NC border, Chesapeake remains largely rural. Our schools are 100% fully accredited with approximately 39,000 students. I supervise gifted education in Chesapeake Public Schools.
